We offer all of our customers to bring home their flooring samples, the lighting in everyone's home differs greatly, putting the samples on your floor will allow the flooring to show its true colors.
We also offer our customers free measurements and estimates, visiting your home, seeing what condition your sub floor is in and taking accurate measurements is essential to getting the correct amount of flooring per room. We figure your square footage and itemize all the products you are being charged for on your estimate, NO HIDDEN FEES. Once you agree to your product choices we will order all your products for you. Mark's Floors provides the material and you may hire your own installer or we can arrange an install date with our independent installers, if you choose to install yourself, you can call us with questions if you get stuck.

Home environment is something to consider when buying wood flooring, rooms should be kept at a consistent temperature of 55-80 degrees, hardwood becoming too cold may show signs of gaping, check or cracks on the face of your flooring, squeaks and other noises will be more likely.
On the other hand hardwood kept at too high of a temperature can lead to the presence of swelling, cupping of the planks, and possibly come loose from the subfloor

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
Use floor protectors on furniture to reduce indentation. The heavier the item, the wider the floor protector needed.
Avoid using detergents such as dish soap, there could be residue or a film left behind, if not rinsed completely the left behind particles will attract more dirt to stick to the surface.
Hardwood - Water and wood do not go well together. Make sure to clean up spills quickly. Use a wood mineral cleaning solution to help you flooring stay clean and fresh.
Luxury Vinyl - Sweep or vacuum regularly (beader bar off) occasional cleaning with Armstrong's Once n' Done or vinegar and water do the trick.
Porcelain & Ceramic - Floors and walls can simply be washed using warm water and a normal neutral household cleaner
Grout - vinegar or hydrogen peroxide is an excellent ally in the fight against dirt: diluted with a little water and left to act for five minutes, it should be removed with a cloth dipped in hot water or for tough dirt scrub with a toothbrush or grout cleaning brush.
Carpet - Vacuum your carpet regularly to prevent soil from embedding itself in the pile.

Adjustable Height — Use the highest setting where appropriate.
Efficient Airflow — Avoid vacuums with very concentrated or sealed suction.
Large Wheels — A vacuum with large wheels is easier to move across soft carpeting. Professional cleaning every 12 to 18 months.
Vacuum Buying Guide
SELECTING THE RIGHT VACUUM
When selecting the right vacuum, adjustable height is the most important feature to consider. This enables the machine to be used on a wide variety of carpet constructions. If your vacuum is set too high above the carpet surface, the vacuum can’t attract the gritty soil below. If the setting is too low, the vacuum’s beater bar or brushes can “fuzz” the carpet’s surface, causing it to look worn or frayed. CONSIDER YOUR SOFT CARPET TYPE: HIGH PILE AND PREMIUM SOFT CARPET. Avoid vacuums with very concentrated or sealed suction. Your vacuum should glide easily across the carpet, making large wheels the best choice. Use the highest adjustable height setting where appropriate. THICK LOOP, CASUAL FRIEZE OR LONG PILE CARPET You may need to completely disengage the beater bar and vacuum with suction only. ALL OTHER CARPET CONSTRUCTIONS Use a vacuum with a rotating brush or beater bar. Change the bags often, and check the beater bars for burs and gouges to prevent damage to the surface of the carpet. If you are unsure about the proper height setting, use an inconspicuous place like a closet to test your vacuum. Its beater bar or brush should just lightly touch your carpet surface.

Binding
Mark's Floors offers binding!
Binding is typically the easiest and least expensive method of finishing a carpet edge. Binding the edge of a carpet involves wrapping a strip of fabric around the edge of the carpet and stitching it in place. The process is done by a binding machine.
Have a piece of carpet you love but doesn't have that finishing touch? Bring the piece to us! We will choose a binding color and put that finishing touch you are looking for!

With 25 years of experience in the flooring industry, Mark Nugent, along with his wife, Debbie, offer a wide variety of carpet, vinyl, hardwood, laminate and tile products"
Since we have opened we have been in business 6 years, going on 7 now, have built a bigger warehouse and have 2 showrooms full of product samples, along with more employees. Mark and family can't wait for you to stop in!
Our Mascot Jazzy
Jazzy is a 4 year old Terrier, Schnauzer, Poodle, Cocker Spaniel mix!
She has been coming to work everyday with the family since she was a puppy.
She has even been in our very own commercial!
Jazzy is our official greeter, when you come into Mark's Floors, Jazzy will be the first to greet you at the door and sit by your side while you are deciding on your flooring choices.
She also wants you to know she truly enjoys Milk Bones!
